Management
Mr. Victor Cheong – Managing Director
Background
The first evidence of export of beer from Carlsberg to Asia was in 1869 where export was started on a trial basis to a number of Asian destinations including Yangon, Singapore and Hong Kong. The trial was a success and export to China soon followed. Export of Carlsberg beer to China continued through this century, only with interruptions due to the first and second World Wars. When Carlsberg established its own brewery in Hong Kong in 1981, export was transferred to this brewery.
